tomreed2013_120Tom Reed’s campaign today released their final fundraising numbers for 2013.  Reed raised more money in 2013 than ever before, topping his 2012 total of $1.3 million.  Reed’s fundraising numbers nearly doubled from the comparable period of 2011.

The campaign brought in over $1.4 million in 2013 compared to $786,000 in 2011. The campaign’s cash-on-hand number more than doubled from 2011 when it was $448,000 to $918,000 at the end of 2013. With Reed’s fundraising total at $1.4 million, and candidate Martha Robertson’s at $727,000, Reed beat his own numbers and the opposition by also nearly doubling her cash on hand numbers.

“Tom’s strong fundraising numbers demonstrate the broad-based support he has built with the voters of Western New York,” said Reed’s campaign manager, Seth Wimer.“Having doubled our 2011 fundraising numbers shows not only Tom’s seriousness and commitment to this race but also the strong commitment of the folks who have invested in this campaign. More of Tom’s contributions came from the state of New York than our opponent - and that’s the support that matters most.”

The campaign’s fourth-quarter report, filed today, shows over $254,000 raised at the end of 2013. Eighty-percent of contributions in 2013 came from individuals and sixty-five percent of donations were made in state, including contributions from all 11 counties in the 23rd district.
