tomreed2013_120Corning - Tom Reed’s campaign announced an A+ rating Tuesday from the Shooters Committee on Political Education (S.C.O.P.E.) in New York State.

The Shooters Committee on Political Education voter rating system helps Second Amendment supporters stay informed about candidates before heading to the polls. The ratings addressed any vote in favor of the New York SAFE Act and a history of support for Second Amendment rights.

Reed was the first candidate to sign the SCOPE 'Anti-SAFE Act Pledge' in February and received an A+ rating for consistently supporting gun owners.

"Tom Reed has always been a strong supporter and protector of our Second Amendment rights," said John McHenry, Steuben County S.C.O.P.E. Chairman. "Tom received an 'A+' rating from S.C.O.P.E. for his dedication to sportsmen and his opposition to the unconstitutional New York SAFE Act. It is of the utmost importance that all sportsmen and gun owners show our support for Congressman Tom Reed in his reelection this year."

"As a life-long hunter and sportsman, Tom's views on the Second Amendment are very clear,” said Reed's Campaign Communications Director Katherine Pudwill. “Since he took the oath of office he has worked to ensure that the constitutional freedoms of our friends and neighbors in the Southern Tier are never compromised.”
