“Cornell University is leading the country in the education of our brightest students as well as providing cutting edge research that will bring a brighter future for all of us,” said Senator Nozzolio. “As a Cornell graduate, I am extremely honored and humbled to be selected by the Board of Trustees to the Cornell University Council.
Election to the Council is based on a member’s long-term leadership role on behalf of Cornell and the community. Members are elected to a four-year term and serve as an ambassador for Cornell to prospective students, alumni, and the general public.
In 2004, Senator Nozzolio was the recipient of the prestigious Jerome Alpern Distinguished Alumni Award from the Cornell School of Industrial and Labor Relations, one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a Cornell University alumnus.
Senator Nozzolio currently serves on the Board of the Cornell Agriculture and Food Technology Park and previously served on the Board of Directors for the Martin P. Catherwood Library of the School of Industrial and Labor relations at Cornell.
