ImageThe first woman ever to serve as Lieutenant Governor in New York State history Monday crossed political party lines to endorse the re-election of Senator Mike Nozzolio.

Citing his proven record of working in a bi-partisan manner to produce positive results for the people of the Greater Finger Lakes region, former Lieutenant Governor Mary Anne Krupsak has endorsed Senator Mike Nozzolio and will serve as the Chairperson of a committee of prominent Democrats throughout the 54th Senate District working for Senator Nozzolio's re-election.

In making her endorsement, Lt. Governor Krupsak said, "Throughout my many years of service in state government, I have never known a public servant more dedicated to the people they represent than Senator Mike Nozzolio. Senator Nozzolio has consistently delivered results for our region on the issues that I, and the citizens of the Finger Lakes region, care deeply about: providing access to healthcare for families, ensuring that our children receive a quality education, and rejuvenating our local economy by bringing good paying jobs to our region."

"It is a tremendous honor to receive the endorsement of Lt. Governor Krupsak," said Nozzolio. "Mary Anne Krupsak has served her State with honor and distinction and has done so very much to enhance tourism, create jobs and improve the quality of life in the Finger Lakes region, the area she now calls home."

Lt. Governor Krupsak heads a long, and growing, list of prominent Democrats from across the 54th Senatorial District who are working to re-elect Senator Mike Nozzolio. Members include Diana Smith, Mayor of the Village of Seneca Falls; Ed Trufant, Mayor of the Village of Union Springs; John Greco, member of the Geneva City Council; Robert "Duke" Gerlach, Councilman for the Town of Romulus; Joe DeSanto, former Town of Arcadia Supervisor; Ormie King, former member of the Auburn City Council and Cayuga County Legislature; Mike Lepak, former Cayuga County Legislator; as well as prominent business and community leaders, including Bruce and Lisa Bonafiglia; Angelo and Agnes Bonafiglia; Susan Cohen; Leon Pratt; Anthony Anastasi; Bonnie Vaughn; Fran Barbieri; and Paolo, Anna, and Mario Saltarello.

Senator Nozzolio is running with the support and endorsement of the Republican, Conservative, Independence, and Taxpayers First parties.

"My top priority has always been to help people and to work to improve their day-to-day lives. I believe that people are more concerned with results than they are about the candidate's party affiliation," added Senator Nozzolio.

"I am extremely proud of my record in working with members of both parties to achieve results for the people I serve," concluded Nozzolio.
