This year, Arcuri again sponsored H.R. 1680, the Long-Term Care Life Safety Act, which authorizes the Secretary of Health and Human Services to offer federal grants to promote professional installation of fire alarm detection and prevention systems in nursing homes, assisted-living residences, hospices and other long-term care facilities.
H.R. 1680 is endorsed by the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, National Fire Prevention Association, National Center for Assisted Living, Security Industry Association, and the New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association.
