Born November 4, 1920, in Nazareth, PA, John was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Braccio) Myskow. He proudly served our country with the U.S. Army during World War II, and was honorably discharged in 1945 as a Sergeant. During his military service John earned the American Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, and took part in the invasion at Normandy.
A lifelong Lansing resident, John was married in 1949 to Ida O. Small Myskow, who preceded him in death in 2004. He retired from Cargill Inc. in 1982, with over 30 years of dedicated service. John spent most of his retired days playing slow pitch, fishing, gardening, and most importantly, spending time with his family in Rochester and here on Cayuga Lake.
In addition to his wife and parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve, Joseph, Michael and Albert Myskow; sisters Anne Lucas and Rose Casey; and a grandson, William F. Beyerbach, II.
He is survived by his five loving daughters, Joanne Driscoll (John), Brenda Schmidt (William), Mariann Moll (James), Deborah Yogachandra (Nat), and Michelle Randall (Tom Ellis); grandchildren, James Driscoll, Katherine Driscoll Thompson, Michael Driscoll, Brendan Beyerbach, Sara Sheedy, Randall Yogachandra, Kayla Boles Mayberry, Nicholas Randall; great grandchildren, Myles Yogachandra, Maddyn Kate and Jason Thompson, Aaliya and Tatum Mayberry; sisters, Mary Wilkin, Helen Tisdel, Jenny Murray and Sophie Stark; and a large extended family.

Family will be present to receive friends from 2 to 4pm, Saturday, February 15, 2014, at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY. A private graveside service, with Military Honors, at Calvary Cemetery, Ithaca, will take place at a later date.
