Previously, she worked with the school's Entrepreneurship faculty and BR Ventures (the student-managed venture capital fund) and as the school's graduate field assistant for doctoral candidates. She came to Johnson with prior experience in the Cornell University Controller's office and in the Human Resources department of a private firm in Ithaca. In addition to her employment at Cornell University, Colleen also worked for the New York State Parks Office.
Colleen enjoyed hunting, NASCAR racing, skydiving, and was an encyclopedia of the music of her era and attended many concerts that introduced her to such stars as Chuck Barry and others. Colleen was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Margaret Wilkinson, paternal grandparents, Earl and Doris Ebersold and Carrol and Ruth Homan. She is survived by her parents, Edward and Margaret Ebersold; sister Karen Fuller; brothers, Robert, Roger (Michelle), and John (Janice) Homan; nieces Melanie Koehler, Rachel Miller, Sarah Tobey (David), Lillian Fuller, Madison Jessica Homan, Paige Williams, and Haley Miller; nephews James Miller (Roxy), Christopher Miller (Sarah), John Fuller, and Tanner Miller; many other Aunts, Uncles, and cousins, who will greatly miss her. In addition, she would let her dear friends/sisters Lynn and Karla know they were loved.
Recently she spoke of the joy she had seeing friends and classmates at Myers Park, which brought a smile to her face.
Family will be present to receive friends from 5-8pm, Thursday, August 6th, at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY. A scripture service, officiated by Fr. Jeff Tunnicliff, will be held at the funeral home at 11am, Friday, August 7th. Interment at Pleasant Grove cemetery will be private.
