carlnedrowCarl E. Nedrow of Lansing passed away peacefully and quietly in the presence of family on January 13, 2018, at the age of 87.

Born April 20, 1930 in Ithaca, Carl was a son of the late David J. and Lina Rose Nedrow. After high school, Carl graduated from the Cornell School of Agriculture and proudly served his country for 2 years with the US Army. He was married to Nancy "Ann" Tierney Nedrow in February 1955. Carl retired from NYSEG after 30 plus years of dedicated service. He enjoyed boxing in his younger years, raised Appaloosa horses, was passionate about coon hunting, and was content just being busy around the farm, whether cutting firewood or puttering on a project. Carl was also an avid follower of the Lansing sports programs and the New York Giants. Most importantly, Carl was dedicated to and loved his family. He and Ann always had an open door and welcomed friends and family for a visit or an extended stay. He took great pride in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents; Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ann; granddaughter, Noralee Farkas Davis; and great grandson, Nathan Davis. Carl is survived by his daughters, Abby Hatfield (David) of Lansing, Sherry Nedrow of Groton, and Carol Farkas (Michael) of Lyndonville, NY; grandchildren, Benjamin Kirk Hatfield (Carrie), John Hatfield (Sara), Nolan Hatfield (Tori Heath), Katherine "K.C." Rhoads (Darrell), Israel Condie, Andrew Scott (Melody), Michelle Shippos (Greg), Justin Scott (Alison Sileo), Thomas Farkas (Katie), Jacob Farkas (Ashleigh Brownlee); great grandchildren, Noralee and Connor Farkas, Kelly and Brantley Kirk, Lillian and Cailey Hatfield, Evelyn Scott, Bristol Rhoads, Greyson Shippos and Adalynn Hatfield; brothers, David Nedrow (Anna), Charles Nedrow (Sheila); sister, Rosemary Brown; dedicated companion, Christine Fellows; and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to either All Saints Church, 347 Ridge Rd., Lansing, NY 14882; or Hospicare, 172 E. King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850.

Family will be present to receive friends from 4-7 pm, Thursday, January 18th at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, NY. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10 am, Friday, January 19th, at All Saints Church, 347 Ridge Rd., Lansing, NY. Interment, with Military Honors, will be delayed until spring.
