ITHACA- Vera M. Klingle, age 96, of Ithaca, passed away on Friday morning (October 20, 2006) at Lakeside Nursing Home. Mrs. Klingle was born on September 25, 1910 in Ithaca, a daughter of the late Frederick and Lulu Boom.

Mrs. Klingle enjoyed cooking and her favorite dish was rolled cabbage. To pass time, Vera also enjoyed watching television and playing cards. For the past ten years, Vera looked forward to her yearly trips to Florida to spend time with her granddaughter.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Brazo and Robert (Jane) Brazo; a daughter, Dawn (Thomas) Parkin, with whom she lived with for forty years; two sisters, Mildred Masters and Helen Ksenak; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and great-great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Klingle is predeceased by her two husbands, Stephen Brazo Sr., who died in 1967 and Merlin Klingle who died in 1975; three sons, Ronald Brazo, Stephen Brazo Jr., and Willams Brazo Sr.

Friends and family may call Monday (October 23, 2006) at the Herson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Frear Memorial Park. If desired, memorials may be made to the SPCA of Tompkins County.
