Obituaries

ITHACA - Ollie J. Huddle, age 79 of Ithaca, died Tuesday morning at his residence. Ollie is the son of the late Harry and Jenny Huddle. Ollie is predeceased by his two brothers, Harry and William "Wee" Huddle.

He retired from Emerson Power Transmission in 1990 after 35 years of service. Ollie enjoyed his yearly vacations with his grandchildren. He is a member of the American Legion in Trumansburg, VFW in Ithaca and Eagles Club. He is a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Barbara J. Huddle; a daughter, Linda (Glenn) Taylor; three granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley Harris, Kimberly Bordenet, and Brittany Taylor; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Huddle, Carol (Edmond) Ritchie, Sandra Sykora, and Cheryl (Joseph) Judge; several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Herson Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Wood, officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials many be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
