Born August 27, 1920, in Ithaca, Bob was a son of the late Emory and Emma (Cook) Sharp. A life resident of the area, he served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. from 1937 - 1939 and he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Bob was employed as a machinist at Therm Inc., retiring after over 25 years of service.
He was a past member of King Hiram Masonic Lodge #784 in Newfield and was an avid golfer, achieving a "hole in one" several times. Bob was also a hero to one young girl that he saved from drowning at Flat Rock.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel (Ames) and his brother, Lawrence Sharp.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jo (Kenneth A.) Pomichter of Lansing; grandson, Kenneth Michael Pomichter of Ithaca; granddaughter, Julie (Tom) Oliver of McLean; and great grandchildren, Thomas Alan Hasker and Reagan Melody Oliver of McLean.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at South Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
