LANSING:  Alberta Norris Green, 99 of 45 Asbury Road, Lansing, New York died at 11:30pm., Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at a local nursing facility.
 
Born September 23, 1906, in Newfield, New York, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Jessie (nee McDaniels) Norris and the widow of Clarence Green, Sr., who died December 5, 1971.  Mrs. Green was a pillar of the Lansing United Methodist Church. She was a founding member of the congregation and its oldest member.  Mrs. Green will be remembered for providing exceptional pies for Chris N Green's Restaurant in Lansing, as she baked between five and ten pies per day, seven days a week, for fifteen years. She was a member of The Lansing Older Adult Program.

Survivors include her daughter Jane (Charles) Emerick of Lansing; her sister, Eloise Corneby of Wellsville, NY.; her grandchildren, Colleen, Kathleen, and Douglas; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Green, Jr. who died May 21, 1997 and her sister,Clara Norris who died November 24, 2005.
 
Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday at The Lansing United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, 32 Brickyard Road, Lansing, NY.
