Born in Ithaca, she was the daughter of the late James and Clara (French) Quigley. Betty was a resident of Myers for many years and the Woodsedge community for the past three years. She was a parishioner at the All Saints Church. Her Family was foremost in her life and she will be dearly missed by those she has left behind.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Stuart, a son Jeffrey Stuart and her brother Jack Quigley.
She is survived by her sister Joyce Avery (Jack); sons Mark Stuart (Marianne) of Ithaca and Jay Stuart (Isabel) of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren Stacy Bierman (Jason), Jason Stuart (Kelly), Jesse Stuart (Sabrina Bengal) and Colin Stuart. Daughter-in-law Laurie Liberatore and Laurie's daughter Meghan survive along with Betty's spirited great-grandchildren. Many wonderful nieces and nephews along with Betty's cousins Jessie Harper and Charlie French also survive.
A prayer service, officiated by Fr. Malachy Nwosu, will be held at Lansing Funeral Home, 32 Auburn Rd., Lansing, on Saturday, November 17th, beginning at 11 am, followed by a time of remembrance.
