mailmanDear Editor,

Does it ever end? Despite the fact that the people of Lansing have twice rejected the sewers, every week people continue to go on and on and on and on about how much we need the sewers.

The developers are still hell-bent on trying to shove them down our throats in one form or another. Every week there is another meeting followed by another article about development, about need for sewers (that the residents do not want). Every week the Editor writes another editorial in support of the sewers.

When will these profit-mongering developers learn that the people of this town DO NOT WANT THE SEWERS as we cannot afford them and are in no position to pay for them? We do not want the development. If the developers insist on developing, let THEM pay for the sewer installation and the MAINTENANCE COSTS of the sewers. If they don't want to do that, then let them go elsewhere to ruin another town. The people of this town are SO SICK of hearing about an issue that is DEAD!

Please - it is not necessary to try to resurrect the sewers. They are DEAD and the people of this town want them to remain DEAD.

A note to the editor, Dan. Overall, we enjoy reading your paper. We know you mean well and we promise that we know your position on the sewers. But we are sick to death of reading about it almost every week on the editorial page. You have badgered us enough about this issue. Please let the dead sewers rest in peace forever.
