Print | School Business Administrator Mary June King has reached out to say that the $200,000 cost per bus reported in the artile about school start times is erroneous. The cost is about $100,000. | ||
While reading the article about school start times, there was a comment that the school district would have to purchase 4 new busses at $200,000 each. This price seems highly inflated. I am the school business manager at a small school district in Texas about the same size as Lansing. I grew up in Lansing which is why I read your paper. I am currently in the process of buying busses for our school district and I have a quote for a brand new 2015, 77 passenger bus for $94,647. Paying more than twice as much seems odd.Mike Hodgson
