I always enjoy reading The Lansing Star on Fridays.
Your article on Kingdom Farm was interesting. Did the Planning board or others in the discussion ever visit Kingdom Farm? There was no mention of the value of the house and out buildings, which, if sold without the land, would bring 25 to 30% of the valued price.
Also, I would like to remind our officials the Town of Lansing paid nearly $5000 an acre for the land across from the Town Hall, which I wish they would at least brush hog. Secondly, the field to the North of my barn on Route 34 sold to a farmer for nearly $6000.00 per acre four or five years ago.
I don't know if the discussion was random or not , but your article made it appear they didn't do their homework beforehand.
Kingdom Farm has been the best neighbor and I doubt it will be kept as nice after it's sold.
