The federal estate tax, which he hopes to eliminate, is not a "death tax". Under the current law, only estates valued at over $5.34 million are subject to tax, and then the tax applies to only the part of the estate valued over that amount.
Thus, only the wealthiest Americans need worry about paying such a tax. The rest of us can go peacefully to our graves without our deaths--or the estate we leave to our family--being tax.
Please stick to the truth, Tom, and be honest about whose interest you really aim to serve.
