You say "so you don't need to buy an expensive HDMI cable". I'm not disagreeing with your recommendation of the Roku stick, but you should know there's no reason for HDMI cables to be expensive. It's just marketing hype, which makes high profits for manufacturers and retailers. Hobbyist sites and Consumer Reports are unanimous that expensive cables are a waste of money.

There are multiple sources of reasonably priced cables, but I'm partial to Monoprice.com.  (My only connection is as a customer, and they don't know I'm writing this.) They've been around for some years, their prices are very good, and their shipping is prompt.
