I'm writing to give you my personal endorsement of Tammy Morse, a vibrant and talented young woman who is running as the Democratic candidate for Town Clerk here in our Town of Lansing.  Tammy is a longtime Lansing resident who has served as Trumansburg's appointed Village Clerk and Tax Collector for over 10 years.

In addition to the relevant experience she has acquired in that position, Tammy has attended 11 consecutive NYCOM training conferences and other continuing education seminars, workshops, and conferences.  She is also a 2012 graduate of Cornell's Municipal Clerk's Institute, which qualifies her as a Registered and Certified Municipal Clerk.  

Our Town is about to grow rapidly as a consequence of a spate of building recently approved by the Town Boards, and our systems are going to have to evolve to meet our growing and changing population.  I believe that Tammy's superior training and people skills make her the best person to guide the Town's clerking staff through the changes we are facing.
