I read the County Legislature highlights religiously. I always check to see what side of the issue Mike Sigler is on, as he is the representative for Lansing. In general, I agree with him. This is kind of surprising since I'm quite liberal and Mike is Republican.

However, don't let that 'R' fool you! Mike is exactly the kind of politician we want in this day and age. He is someone who can talk to and LISTEN to both sides of a very divided electorate. He hearkens back to a better time when people could work together across the aisles to actually accomplish something.

In his advocacy for Lansing, Mike does have significant accomplishments. He was involved in the repurposing of the power plant, and he has been at the forefront in defending the mine and the workers. He has gotten the job done for us and should be re-elected to continue advocating on our behalf. On a personal note, Mike is a great community member! He shows up to theatre, sporting, CDC, PTSO, and all other events! He and I were not born here, but we love Lansing and try to work to make it better.
