I am writing in support and endorsement of Mike Koplinka-Loehr for Tompkins County Legislator. My support of Mike K-L goes beyond his well-known and adequately cited years of experience and his limitless vision of ways to enhance our Lansing Community, both economically and environmentally.

During a time of election renewal or reinstatement, we are inundated with words of promises, self claims of accomplishment, and sadly often even disparaging words about an opponent. For this reason I, while always considering the qualifications for a position, as well as previous experience within the same, also look to the quality of character and sincerity of heart of any candidate for whom I might cast a vote.

Mike Koplinka-Loehr brings extensive experience to this position but also, and for me most importantly, embodies the kind of person who not only presents his convictions with his words, but brings with this experience a person of great character, honesty, kindness, and moral integrity. He humbly presents his platform while always seeking to put others before himself.

His campaign signs alone speak to a person who has his heart as well as his head engaged in his passion to work on behalf of a community that he loves. It is not his face we see prominently displayed on his 'I Love Lansing' signs, but a heart that wants to work for Lansing in a caring and personal way. Mike brings experience but also deep conviction and moral character that see no need to debase his opponents in order to make his own voice be heard.

A candidate worthy of your consideration is one who is confident within his own abilities to present himself in a positive way without negative words for another. If you 'Love Lansing' cast your vote for Mike Koplinka-Loehr on November 7! Dianne Walter, a Lansing resident since 1974, a parent of 7 Lansing graduates, a grandparent of 10 Lansing grandchildren, and a community volunteer in a breadth of Lansing arenas.
