At this coming election we can choose between two very qualified people for the Town of Lansing Supervisor.

Mike Koplinka-Lehr is a thoughtful, hardworking, and energetic person with many years of government experience. And a really nice guy. He would be an excellent town supervisor.

Ed LaVigne has proven that he can do a great job leading our town.

That someone would write an anonymous letter, accusing him of improperly using his leadership position, came as a surprise. My first thought was that the writer was someone who does not know Ed LaVigne very well.

The idea that Ed LaVigne would let his position as town supervisor be influenced by a campaign contribution to the Lansing Republican Committee sounds silly to me.

The person who wrote the letter might want to go to town board meetings and learn to know the members a little better. Maybe sit down with Ed LaVigne over a cup of coffee and have a chat.

Ed LaVigne is a quality guy who would continue to do a great job as our town supervisor.

Myself, I'm not a Republican, I mostly, but not always, vote Democrat.

It's all good.
