Seph Murtagh has a number of important strengths that make him the best candidate for the 125th Assembly seat previously held by Barbara Lifton. His key issues of concern are those of many these days: addressing the economic fallout from Covid19, ensuring affordable healthcare for all, taking action against climate change, providing affordable housing and childcare for those in need, protecting our environment, and supporting a strong educational system are some among many. But what makes Seph stand out is the way he works. He is a team player, a consensus builder, an excellent listener, an incredibly hard worker, and he does his homework on each topic before making a decision.

His experience is wide and deep, serving on Ithaca City's Common Council since 2012, and as the Alternate Acting Mayor, as well as the Chair of the City's Planning and Economic Development Committee. As a former staff member in Barbara Lifton's office, Seph gained valuable knowledge of this district that encompasses both urban and rural communities.

The primary on 6/23 will be important in this race. Please vote! My vote is for Seph.
