LettersI appreciate being kept up to date with the North cabin by way of The Lansing Star Online.

I was so surprised and excited when I first learned a couple of years ago of the cabin's existence. I am closely following your news reports of the deliberations and decisions being made about its dismantling, removal and storage. That part of its long history I was not aware of. It sounds obvious that the longer the logs are stored the greater the chance that it may deteriorate beyond reassembly and restoration. I sincerely hope that does not happen.

My wish and I's sure others who live in the Lansing area is that its final home will be decided upon and reassembly will be accomplished so students and others can visit it again.

Speaking for North family descendants and others who live far from your beautiful town, please continue to give us reports on the progress and the cabin's future.
