ImageThe Lansing Community Library has established a valuable niche for itself in our growing town. Led by its enthusiastic director, Susie Gutenberger, with the assistance of a dedicated Board of Directors and energetic volunteers,  the Lansing Community Library serves all residents by maintaining a growing collection of books and other resources and offering informational programs covering a wide range of topics.

Open six days a week and supported by donations, grants and a very reasonable resident tax, the library has emerged as a focal point in our community. It is unfortunate that the library’s future is now uncertain due to a proposal Lansing voters will vote on when they also vote on this year’s school district budget. I urge you to vote to keep our library open so that it will remain a cornerstone of our community. It would be a shame to lose what so many caring community members have established.

On May 19, please vote NO to abolish the Lansing Community Library. Vote NO in order to keep it open and allow it to grow as a valuable resource for our community.

Thank you.
