In last week's article about the New Roots Charter School, Melissa Meuller is quoted twice, boasting that the school will have a ". . . smaller teacher to student ratio . . . ." What she really means is that it will have a "larger teacher to student ratio" or a "smaller student to teacher ratio". A ratio is a fraction; it gets larger as the number on top gets larger or as the number on the bottom gets smaller.
Whatever the math of the matter, I wish them well.
