As your New York State Senator, it has been my greatest honor to represent the people of the 54th District.  It was both gratifying and humbling to receive such overwhelming support from the people I serve.

This was a tremendous victory for me and I sincerely thank you for again putting your faith and trust in me.  On this, the 100th anniversary of my father’s birth, I dedicate this honor to him, and to those of his generation for the sacrifices they made to strengthen our Nation.

There are very serious challenges that lie ahead.  Reviving New York State’s economy and enhancing job growth is of the utmost importance. I’ve fought hard, and thanks to your support, I will continue to fight to change the direction of New York State and restore our economy by cutting wasteful spending, reducing taxes and creating jobs.

The time is right.  The time is now. We must make New York competitive again and provide career opportunities for our young people so that they don’t have to leave New York and their families to find jobs in other states.
