One way to meet the budget shortfall for schools is to reduce all salaries 10%, increase co-pays on health insurance, increase employee pension contributions. Where's the rocket science in that. Businesses and non-profits have been doing such for the last three years. No programs are cut, kids are still served by dedicated professionals. Professional who are not dedicated to kids can leave and find another job.
