Note: the answer to Mr. Kirk's first question about the school sign is posted in a video on the school district Web site.
I heard our new school sign was 65,000.00 - seemed like a lot.

Could some please explain - why do we teach college level courses in a high school? This seem like a duplication of services to me. Our property taxes also subsidise the Community College, which teaches the same courses.

I was told you only get the college credit if you score high enough on the final test. At the community College you get the credits even with a "C" average. If we must teach these courses ,why does any school teach more than one? With technology today, our BOCES Unit could arrange courses over the internet, through our technology boards.

Who pays for these College Credits? I had to pay for all mine myself. Do parents whose child passes the test have to pay for the credits given? Can the Community College teach these courses cheaper?

I'm told other schools rent space to Community Colleges, to teach these courses in theirs school. I assume the college would charge for the course - are we ? We had our kid take her last year of high school at the Community College - allowing her to get credit for both High School and College, but we had to pay for the College and transportation. It's time to get efficient.
