On the subject of the "Lansing Dog Park" if all dog owners were created equal and responsible with some common sense then I would applaud this creation. However, they are not and I urge anyone using such an area to use extreme caution. Way too many dogs and people have been attacked in such areas with disasterous results.

Unless you are absolutely sure that other dogs in the park will not react poorly to having your dog or some other dog introduced and unleashed I would be very very careful. Loose dogs can develop a pack mentality and gang up on a single individual. Owners must be very aware of any animal(s) that develops aggressive tendancies. This is not breed specific!

This whole ideal makes me nervous. I do not want to read about some sad event that has happened.
