If you answered 'yes', than you are all too familiar with the extreme difficulty, long waits, and often perilous times in crossing that junction.
There needs to be a traffic light in that intersection. It will be needed even more so if the Cayuga Farms housing project is approved adding more traffic to the road.
Currently, one takes their life in their hands making turns from or going straight ahead when crossing from one side of Asbury to the other.
Most of the accidents in that intersection come from motorists passing cars on the right that are turning from Triphammer onto Asbury, as other cars from either side of Asbury wait their turn to cross. Just this past week, I almost got clipped by a car speeding fast past a car on the right in the narrow area between car and bridge. That scenario occurs in the opposite direction as well.
So, listen up Lansing elected officials, and request the state to give us a traffic light to prevent accidents and save lives.
