mailmanDear fellow community members,

We would like to sincerely thank you all for the unbelievable support you showed at the Topoleski Family Fundraiser held on Saturday, September 15th. The event was a huge success with almost 600 people attending! It was a day filled with laughter, tears, and a wonderful outpouring of community partnership and love.

We would also like to give special acknowledgement to several individuals and organizations that helped make the 15th a very special day. Jay Dietershagen and his staff did an incredible job of hosting the event at Crossroads Bar & Grille. We appreciate all the time, energy and patience Jay gave to this effort. Both David Moreland (a.k.a. "Moreland the Magician") and Frank Towner (a.k.a. "Crossroads the Clown") generously donated their time to perform at the event and donated special birthday performances to our silent auction.

Leah Stoner was also a big hit with the kids, happily painting their faces with whatever design they chose. In addition, many thanks to: Rick Uhl for his DJ expertise, John Dietershagen for handling the overflow parking, Matt Torchia for providing the cotton candy & sno-cone machines and supplies (yum!), Scott Pinney for the very entertaining bounce house, Dan & Julie Boles for the use of their large tent, Lori Molinari from Scoops for the delicious ice cream, Lansing Market for their food donations, and the Lansing Recreation Department, Lansing Middle School, and Lansing Community Library.

Thank you to the many, many individuals, companies and other organizations who donated to our silent auction. Finally, to all the volunteers who kept the show running throughout the afternoon - you were simply fabulous.

Everyone who attended (and those who couldn't but sent notes and donations and cards......)is an integral part of the community's larger efforts to help Lisa (Sweazey) Topoleski and her family as they face the mounting challenges associated with her battle with brain cancer. For further information on how to make a donation, please visit www.topoleskifamilyfund.blogspot.com. It truly does take a village. Thank you again.

Sincerely,

The Topoleski Family Fund Organizing Committee
