By the evening of 12/15/12, a petition on a federal government website demanding effective gun control legislation in our country gained more than 100,000 signatures in less than 24 hours.

In the month the petition remains open, millions of American citizens can ask the White House directly to introduce legislation to limit access to guns.

To join them, go to https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions and click on "popular" to find one with the title: "Immediately address the issue of gun control through the introduction of legislation in Congress." Click "find out more" and then initiate the process to sign.

Help send a clear message to our Congress and the President: we need effective gun control legislation in this country. You can start by signing and spreading the petition.
