mailmanI enjoyed Dan Veaner's editorial analysis of why the sewer 'would be worth the cost' to those of us who will never get sewer service in our lifetimes. I think Dan's points about the costs are accurate and I agree with them.

I also support the sewer because it is time that our large and growing town started the network for this essential public infrastructure and because a sewer will help preserve many aspects of our local ecosystem and environment, as well as protect the health of Cayuga Lake.

I live on a road where there are several failed or almost non-existent septic systems. I wish we could get the sewer here, too. But in the meantime, Lansing needs to enter the 21st Century and start the beginning network for a town sewer.
