In addition, the large condo complex proposed for North Triphammer Road, between Water Wagon Road and Asbury Roads, will be a total horror show for the people living in the area and grossly overburden existing services, especially our schools, roads and traffic patterns. If sewers are passed, construction of this huge condo development (whether it is needed or not), will soon follow.
The best line in Mr. Dubin's letter was:
"Developers should not be permitted to bully towns."
In the course of recent conversations with local business owners, the sewer issue came up. I would have thought these business owners would have wanted installation of sewers and development of the town center as it might mean additional business for them. However, they were all in agreement - these people told me exactly the opposite. THEY, TOO, DID NOT WANT THE SEWERS. One business owner gave me the subject of my letter, "Developers are Hell-Bent on Shoving Sewers Down Our Throats". Both believed that it would be more important to keep Lansing as it is, even if it meant less business for them down the road. Perhaps these business owners are the people who have consciences and do not want to see this area ruined for the sake of the almighty buck?
The bottom line is the only people who want the sewers in this town are the developers and their cronies.
I urge Lansing residents to VOTE NO RE SEWERS.
