Perhaps you are FINALLY seeing the light. If a Farmers' Market cannot be sustained in Lansing, how do you expect all of the other development plans will fare?
In your editorial of this week, you finally acknowledged:
"I do strongly support a town center and I think sewer is a good power tool to make that happen. But the arguments of those who say these things threaten the character of the town that attracted many of us here in the first place do not fall on deaf ears."
Perhaps you, Editor, are FINALLY getting the message. A gentleman wrote an excellent letter to the Editor last week that itemized exactly why the sewer/development boondoggle will only ruin our little town's semi-rural environment that most of the residents cherish while only INCREASING taxes in the long run. If the schools have a sewer problem, build another system for the school (least invasive - probably septic) but please leave the rest of our town alone.
