xcountryOn Tuesday, the IAC Division II Cross Country Championships were held at the Stonehedges Golf Course in Groton.  In impressive fashion, Trumansburg won all four of the contests on a day that showcased some great racing and exciting finishes.

In the modified races, Trumansburg held off Southern Cayuga in both the boys and girls races.  Overall modified boys winner Sean Kennedy of Southern Cayuga led his team, edging out Trumansburg's Jamie Schappi by just 0.4 seconds after 1.5 miles of racing.  Southern Cayuga's Emma Smith-Dennis and Molleigh Johnson worked together to secure a 1-2 finish in the girs race just ahead of Groton's Bethany Hicks and Trumansburg's Glenn Parker.

In the varsity boys race, Groton's Richard Moore and Trumansburg's Samuel Ives battled it out for the individual title with Moore leaning across the line with a margin of just 0.1 seconds for the victory.  Ives led the Raiders to a team win amongst the six complete teams competing in the race.

Molly Macqueen of Trumansburg led from the gun in the girls varsity race with Lansing's Mikaela Garcia securing the runner-up position. With the lowest team score of the day, the Trumansburg girls were able to complete the sweep of IAC Divisional titles.

IAC All-Star accolades were awarded at the conclusion of the meet as well as recognition given to the top ten modified finishers:
