An early lead helped the Lansing Bobcats Varsity Baseball defeat the visiting Moravia Devils 5-3 on Monday. Lansing scored on a single by Griffen Nelson in the first inning, a double by Garrett Bell in the first inning, and a double by Nelson in the second inning.
Lansing took an early lead in the first inning when Griffen Nelson singled on a 2-2 count in the first inning, scoring two runs.
Nelson led Lansing with three hits in three at bats.
Eric Eastman pitched 5 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs with 6 strike outs. Lansing Miller came in for relief.
Lansings Record stands at 6-1.
