All games were a fight, but in the end T-burg came away with the overall W in their column. The girls showed their resilience and maturity the following Saturday at the Tioga tournament. It was a 10 team, all day tournament. Teams played in two separate pools and the winner of each pool headed off in a one match to 25 title game. Lansing found themselves in the same pool as rival T-burg.
Both teams ran the pool play undefeated until they met. In a two game match the two teams split. Lansing 18- T--burg 25, 2nd game T--burg 17 and Lansing 25. Seeing as the teams were tied the rules stated that the tie-breaker would be point spread. Lansing by one. The girls were matched against a strong Candor team in the Championship game. After a hard fought battle, Lansing came home with the 1st place trophy.
