Coach Diane Hicks-Hughes presented Kali Dean, a high school freshman who made it to State in the Swimming finals for the second year in a row. Dean placed first in Class C size schools in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events, and 28th across all divisions. "In order to get to State Kali was undefeated in the duel meet season in the 1500 Free," said Hicks-Hughs. "She won IACs in the 1500 as well as the class C sectional. She should be very proud of her accomplishments."
Girls Volleyball coach Amy O'Brien brought her winning team as well. "They're an absolutely wonderful set of adult girls, and they put together a season that far exceeded my expectations of them," O'Brien told the Board. "They worked hard, they gelled as a team, they played as a team, they had fun as a team. They're an awesome set of human beings that could not have made me or their parents any prouder."

The team won every tournament in the season, as well as IACs and sectionals and regionals against Poughkeepsie. "After ten minutes of nerves they decided they were going to win in three games. And that sent them off to the final four play," O'Brien said. They played Albany, Rochester, and New York City, ending up in first place going into the State games, where they came in second. "This is the best volleyball I've ever seen in an amazing arena," she concluded.
Athletic Director Ed Redmond
She asked Senior Co-Captain Randi Lyn Randall and starting middle Rachael Strohman to recall the season. "It's a season that definitely won't be forgotten," said Randall. "By the end of Friday were were number one in the State. For that little bit of time we were number 1. We're still number 1 in our hearts."
