ImageMidway Lanes Vestal: This past weekend the Lansing Boys team showed what they were made of by capturing the Sectional "C" Title. Starting out with a 1140 first game the Bobcats near looked back. The day was a total team effort as Phil Kulis lead the way with a 705 series and the rest of the team each bowled around 650.

Teamwork was the key as Kevin Quigley came into to replace Dan Baldini for the third game and helped provide the push that was needed to finish in front of all the divisions. The Bobcats now go back on 2-24-07 to roll in the section IV State Qualifier @ Midway and be one of ten teams from all classes to try for the Section IV Crown. Team work is what has gotten us this far and it's what will be needed this weekend to advance. The team consists of Kyle Christopher, Jon LaRock, Dan Baldini, Ricky Newton, Phil Kulis, Kevin Quigley, and Tyler Clark.

Saturday was the Section IV finals for the Girls and as they have done all this season they bowled constant. As the first game was coming to a conclusion we started doing a little score board watching. Not knowing what kind of competition we would have from the MAC division (from the south eastern part of section IV) we had to wait and see. Bowling against Walton I was told that Greene was a very strong team in their division. As the first game came to a close we were in third place behind Greene & TAE of our division.

Game two saw much of the same as we gained some pins on TAE and stayed petty much the same behind Greene. As we entered game three I told my girls to just make spares and we'd see what would happen. Watching to our left I noticed TAE falter and my seniors noticed this also so I just kept telling the girls to make good shots.

The Lansing Bobcat girls rolled three consistent games and placed second in the Class "C" Section IV finals getting themselves a chance to go back with the boys to the Section IV State Qualifier this coming Saturday. The Lansing Girls team is Lori McKane, Brooke Burke, Sara Johnson, Rachel Stroehman, Kristi Sullivan, Desi Burke, and Carolyn Wells.
