The Lansing Girls Basketball team opened their 2007-08 season with a 48-24 defeat of Union Springs at home last Friday evening. The Ladycats displayed an aggressive team defense that held Union Springs to single figures in all four quarters. Offensively the Ladycats had a balanced scoring attack with MC Barrett leading the way with 15 points, on 6 of 7 shooting from the floor. Jocelyn Ford added 11 points and a team high 5 assists and Megan Palladino had a double double with 10 points and a team high 10 rebounds.The Ladycats next game is Friday December 7th at Moravia, followed by a non-league contest with Elmira Southside on Saturday the 8th.
