This year two athletes from the class of 1993, Amy Childers (swimming, basketball, track) and Dennis Eade (football, track & field, wrestling) will be inducted along with class of 1966 graduate Kevin Kessler (football, track & field). The 1976-77 Boys Basketball Team will join those athletes in being honored.

The Hall of Fame began in the Fall of 1998 with the induction of 10 charter members. It recognizes outstanding former Lansing athletes for individual achievements and records they set, leadership qualities and awards won in their sports career. Two years ago the Hall Of Fame began inducting teams as well. Teams must have achieved championship status in league, sectional, regional, or state competition in the year they are nominated for. Teams and individuals may be nominated if ten or more years have passed sine their graduation (or achievement in the case of teams).
Lansing Athletic Hall Of Fame
The Hall Of Fame is an actual hallway behind the gym at Lansing High School. Plaques honoring all the inductees are mounted on the wall, and can be viewed whenever the high school is open.
Anyone can nominate athletes or teams by filling out a nomination form and turning it in to selection committee members. Currently there are 13 committee members chaired by Hall of Famer Marty Christopher. They include Sharon Bowman, Gary Christopher, Steve Colt, Chuck Crandall, Ron Eastman, Jack French, Maureen Muggeo, Karen Parkes, Bill Rankin, Ed Redmond, and Geoff Wright.
Wright will be master of ceremonies at the January 26th induction.
