In other events, the Lansing swimmers continue to record first place finishes and better their times. In the 50 freestyle, 1 or 2 hundredths of a second has been the deciding difference. Dave Bandler recorded a time of 23.71 for first place and Dan Ravas recorded a time of 23.72 for second place in this event. The two swimmers then traded place finishes again in the 100 butterfly. Dan Ravas placed first (59.76) and Dave Bandler placed second (1:03.53).
In the 100 freestyle, Casey Hagin (sophomore) recorded a first place finish with 54.30. His teammates followed with second and third place finishes. They were Clement Towner (55.17) and Ari Darlow (co-captain - 55.68). Although he swam exhibition, Max Mackenzie (junior) recorded the fastest time in the 100 breaststroke; his time was 1:14.99.
