ImageThe Ithaca 19U Shooting Stars finished 2-1-1 at the Fire on Ice Tournament in Rochester. They defeated the Perinton Edge 3-2 and Saranac Lake 2-1, tied Michigan Capitals 1-1, and lost to Amherst Knights 3-1.

Katie Long scored twice and Lauren Cole once vs. Perinton. Carrie Wilder scored assisted against Saranac Lake assisted by Cole and Ali Pace; and Long scored unassisted. Long also scored in the Michigan game assisted by Emily Eisenhut, and she did again in the Amherst loss assisted by Krystalyn Yonkin. Sarah Eisenhut was in goal for all contests, but shots were not recorded.

The Ithaca 14U girls hockey team began their season with five games in two weeks time. The first weekend they were shut out by Troy Albany Ice Cats and the Clifton Park Eagles but the next one they scored one goal each of two games against Skaneateles and were shut out by Camillus. Marlena Doerr scored with an assist from Rachel Brock, and Camille Rogers with an assist from Ismini Ethridge. LT Furman and Alex Stagliano are sharing goalie duties and making many saves in each contest.

Ithaca 12U and 19U Shooting Stars teams competed Nov. 15-16 with other Central New York teams.  19Us defeated the Skaneateles Lakers 16U, 5-0, and tied the Rome Grizzlies 16Us, 2-2.  The 12Us fell 4-1 to the Binghamton Blizzard 12Us and 5-3 to the IYHA Squirt Snowbelt team.
 
In both 19U contests, Ithaca outshot their opponent by 3-1 margins. Sarah Eisenhut stopped 29 shots in the two games.  Goals against Skaneateles were scored by Ali Pace, Emily Eisenhut, Kystalyn Yonkin, Katie Long and Emma Hassen.  Assists were awarded to Lauren Cole, Erin Grainger, Gabe Klick, Colleen Dillon, Hannah Golay, Long and Pace. In the tie game with Rome, Cole scored both goals.
 
In their opening game of the season with Binghamton, goalie Caitlyn Whittaker stopped 25 shots and Anastasia Lyon scored unassisted. When they faced the local coed Squirt Snowbelt 2 team, Whittaker made 32 saves.  Lyon scored again assisted by Grace Wolczanski. Anna Kirkwood also scored off a feed from Ellie Muckstadt.  Paige Johnson scored after an end-to-end rush by Aurora Solla.
