The Lansing Girls Basketball team concluded their regular season finishing with a record of 18-0 and Division I champions. The Ladycats defeated Trumansburg on Tuesday 62-36, with Jocelyn Ford scoring 16 of her team high 22 points in the decisive first quarter, that saw the team take a commanding 24-2 lead. MC Barrett added 11 points and a team high 8 rebounds, while Ellyn Grant-Keane chipped in with 9 points and a team high 7 steals. Rachael Palladino had 6 points and a team high 5 assists, Beth Lader had 5 points, Nina Lindberg had 4 points, Colby McCartney had 3 points and Stephanie Gonyea had 2 points to round out the scoring.
The Ladycats next game will be the IAC semi-finals to be played at Watkins Glen on Tuesday February 17th, with the opponent and time to be determined following the Division II tiebreaker game between Odessa Montour and Tioga. If Tioga wins Lansing would play Odessa and if Odessa wins they would play Southern Cayuga.
