BowlingBowlingWaverly came to Helen Newman looking to clinch the IAC Large school boys title on January 21, but the Lansing Bobcats stood in their way and what a match was had!  As both teams roll the first couple of frames it becomes evident that spares will tell the story of the night and did they.

Lansing's Trever Rounds, Tim Carlson & Harrison Herzog lead the way rolling 625 betweem them to lead Lansing in taking game one 945 to 902. The battle was with every ball for the next two games as Waverly came back to take game two by 11 pins and game three by 6 pins as the teams split 2 & 2 which now puts Newark valley in first place by two points.

Rounds was Lansing's leading scorer with a 227-650 and Waverly was lead by Jared Joseph 221-653.  Total pins worked out to be Lansing 2818 to Waverly's 2792.

Over on the girls side Waverly's team rolled to a total pins count of 2451 to Lansing's 1939 as Waverly takes all 4 points. Waverly's Nicole Rice 534, and Danielle Laure 530 where there high rollers, as Lansing was lead by senior Ashley Flemming's 190-515.
