On the girls side it was much the same as Newark Valley took 3 of the 4 points with Kirsten Chase 229 / 567 leading the way followed by Ronnie Hines' 161 / 450. Lansing had freshman Melissa Seymore 154 / 408 as our lone star. Lansing travels to Watkins Glen on Thursday for another large school division match up.
The Lansing Bobcats went to Cort Lanes to bowl Marathon Monday and the boys took 3 of the 4 points. The high bowler of the day was Erik McGowan from Marathon with games of 221,266 & 225 for a fine 712 series. Lansing high bowler was Joel Teitelboum with a 224/628 series followed by Trever Rounds 588 & Troy Hradisky's 580.
On the girls side marathon takes them all with two girls Paige Paker & Allysan rolling over a 500 series. Gianna Gentile's 426 was high for Lansing. Newark Valley will come to Helen Newman lanes on Wednesday to bowl Lansing in a key match in the Large school division.
The Lansing Bobcat boys team went to Crystal Lanes 12/27 to bowl in the Tom Sullivan Memorial Tournament which was comprised of the STAC teams and two team from the Buffalo area. As these are all the larger schools it was a great test and experience for the Lansing boys. Out of the eight teams there the Lansing boys came in 6th place. The Lansing Boys did place three out of the top ten individuals in qualifying as Trever Rounds rolls 635 for 10th , Tim Carlson's 650 for 7th and Troy Hradisky's 664 takes 4th, not a bad day for the smallest school there.
Lansing went to Owego Bowl to take on Newark Valley 12/21 in a key match in the Large School Division and the results were Lansing Boys taking 3 out of the 4 points.
Joel Teitelboum was the big scorer of the day starting out with a fine 268 on his way to a career high 692, he was followed by another career high for Tim Carlson as he rolls 248 - 681. Then Troy Hradisky rolls in a 245 - 663 and Trever Rounds 215 - 595 as the Lansing boys found Owego Bowl to their liking rolling a season high series of 3077.
Newark Valley had two boys rolling 600's of there own, as Austin Welch 228 - 627 and Derek Fenn 211 - 607 help there team roll a 2837 total. On the Girls side Newark Valley rolled to all 4 points as kristen Chase 208 - 597 & Ronnie Hines 223 - 568/ the lansing girls did not far very well here at Owego Bowl.
On 12/20 the Lansing Boys finished 3rd in the IAC and 4th overall at the Holiday Tournament held this past weekend @ Valley Bowl in Waverly. Medals were handed out for the top 10 score in both divisions and Lansing's Trever Rounds took 9th with a 623 series.
The Lansing Girls finished 8th and Venesa Corey had their high series with a 429, followed by Jenna Armstrong & Ashley Engels.
