In game 1 the visitors raced to a 5-1 lead, Lansing fought back to tie the score 3 times, the last at 14 all. Watkins closed the game with a 5-0 run for the 8 point margin.
Game 2 was the tightest of the match, featuring 11 ties and 11 lead changes. The Bobcats playing short handed without Senior Amber Howser hung tough with outstanding play from Senior Amber Ryan who had several big aces to keep the Bobcats close. The last tie came at 21 all.. before the Senecas rolled off the final 4 points to victory.
In Game 3 the visitors jumped out 6-0 and the home club played from behind the entire way, closing to 4 points 20-16 on senior Sally Stoyell's ace, and 24-20 on a Hannah Armstrong kill, but in the end the visitors outplayed the Bobcats and move on in the IAC playoffs.
Despite the setback and the graduation of 9 seniors the future is bright for the Bobcats, who return a strong senior nucleus including all conference players Hannah Armstrong and Kelsey Thomas. Congratulations to the departing senior girls for their leadership and outstanding play over the last four years.
