wrestlingThe Lansing Wrestling team opened up its's season on a high note this past weekend, finishing 3rd at the Larry Goodrich Invitational Tournament at Newark Valley.

Outstanding performances, included Greg Lee 106, William Koll 120, Corey Dake 126, Connor Lapresi 132,and Ryan Todd 195. These five indivduals won individual titles in there respective weight classes. Other impressive performers were William Lewis 3rd at 106, Dakota White 3rd at 195, and Peter McTiernan 6th at 120.

The Bobcat Grapplers opened up the dual meet season Wednesday night against local rival Dryden. Despite the two teams combined 9 forfiets, the 5 contested matches were quite entertaining. Lansing's Ryan Todd, William Koll, and Corey Dake all earned pins. Connor Lapresi won his match via technical fall. rounding out the Lansing scoring were forfiet victories from Dakota White, William Lewis, Greg Lee, and Brandon Gavitt. The most entertaining match pit Lansing's J.D. McKane against Jeremy Andrews. Andrews earned the 3 point decision in a tight 13-9 victory.

Lansing next travels to The Chenago Valley duals this Saturday.
